Man gets $650 worth of private dances — then tells club he’s not paying

A Florida man who allegedly spent hours receiving private dances at a strip club ended the night in handcuffs after refusing to pay a $650 bill, despite officers repeatedly giving him opportunities to settle the tab and leave.

The bodycam footage, reviewed by the YouTube channel Sgt. Pepperspray, shows police arriving at the club on March 6, 2026, after management said the customer had received roughly 15 private dances, plus additional songs, before telling staff he would not pay anything close to the full amount.

What followed was a long and increasingly circular conversation in which the man alternated between disputing the bill, saying he could pay it, accusing officers of hostility and discrimination, and asking to speak with a supervisor, while club employees maintained that the prices were clearly posted and that the dancer was still owed her money.

Club Says The Prices Were Posted Clearly

A manager told officers that private dances were priced at $40 per song and that signs explaining the rate were posted around the club.

According to the manager, the customer had gone upstairs for repeated private dances and eventually accumulated a tab of about $650.

She said he later refused to come downstairs, told the dancer he would pay only $50, and continued resisting efforts by staff members to resolve the bill until the VIP host and security eventually got him back downstairs.

By the time police arrived, the manager said the man had already told staff to call officers because he was not going to pay the full amount.

The manager made clear that her first choice was not necessarily to have him arrested, but to get the dancer compensated for the services she had already provided.

“I want him to pay because that girl deserves her money,” she told the officers.

That position set the tone for the encounter, because police repeatedly treated payment as the simplest way to end the dispute before it became a criminal matter.

Officers Give Him Multiple Chances To Pay

Once officers brought the man outside where they could hear him more clearly, they asked for his name and began trying to understand why he believed he did not owe the money.

The man denied that he had requested the songs and said he disagreed with the club’s version of events, but he struggled to give officers a clear explanation of what he believed had actually happened.

One officer repeatedly asked where the confusion was.

Instead of answering directly, the man accused the officer of being hostile and asked to speak with a supervisor.

The officer then warned him that if he refused to pay the tab, he could be arrested and trespassed from the business.

Even after that warning, the man continued arguing over the circumstances rather than simply producing payment.

At several points, he said he could pay the $650 but did not actually do so when officers gave him the opportunity.

That distinction became important because the officers were not arresting him merely for complaining about the bill; they viewed his repeated refusal to settle it after receiving the services as the issue.

A Second Officer Tries To Resolve The Dispute

When the man said he wanted to speak with someone else, another officer stepped in and gave him yet another chance to explain himself.

The second officer told him plainly that the club said he owed $650 and that cameras could be reviewed later if there was a genuine dispute.

For the immediate situation, however, the options were becoming narrow.

“If you don’t pay the 650, then you’re going to jail,” the officer told him.

The man responded that he could pay the money but again raised concerns about discrimination and questioned the officers’ handling of the situation.

By that point, the patience of both police and club staff was running out.

The footage shows a frustrating mismatch: the man kept insisting he was willing to pay while simultaneously refusing to take the simple action that would have ended the encounter.

That kind of back-and-forth can make an otherwise manageable dispute much worse, because officers are left to judge behavior rather than promises.

Staff Says He “Wanted To Prove A Point”

After officers decided to arrest him, the club manager confronted the man over what she believed had happened.

She told him he had been given repeated opportunities to pay but had instead chosen to argue.

“You just screwed that girl out of her money because you wanted to prove a point,” she said.

The man denied that characterization and continued insisting that staff were not telling the truth.

He also said he wanted access to surveillance footage and bodycam video so he could present his side later.

The officers told him that he would have the opportunity to raise those arguments with a judge.

They also formally trespassed him from the club, meaning he was told he could no longer return to the property.

By then, officers described him as highly intoxicated and said he was talking in circles.

He disagreed with that assessment and continued asking questions during the ride and booking process.

Arrest Followed Despite Late Offer To Pay

One of the more notable parts of the footage came after officers placed the man in handcuffs.

At that point, he again said he could pay the bill.

But the officers told him the opportunity had passed.

They had already spent several minutes asking whether he would pay, and from their perspective, he had refused often enough that the decision to arrest had already been made.

That may feel harsh when viewed only from the final moment, but the full bodycam sequence shows why the officers reached that point.

The man was not arrested seconds after first disputing the amount; he was repeatedly asked what he believed was wrong, whether he had the ability to pay, and whether he was willing to settle the tab.

He kept returning to accusations of hostility, requests for a supervisor and disputes about what had happened upstairs without resolving the underlying bill.

He Spends The Night In Jail

Sgt. Pepperspray reported that the man was booked into the county jail and spent the night there.

A judge later ordered him to stay away from the strip club and to comply with any alcohol or drug testing required by the court.

The channel said he was ultimately charged with the misdemeanor equivalent of shoplifting, except that the “property” at issue consisted of services rather than merchandise.

The host jokingly referred to the offense as “laplifting,” though that was a comedic description rather than the formal legal name of the charge.

The case is an unusual example of how unpaid services can become a criminal matter when the evidence suggests someone intentionally obtained them without paying.

A disputed restaurant tab, hotel bill or private-service charge can sometimes remain a civil disagreement, but once officers believe there was deliberate intent to avoid payment, the situation can escalate quickly.

A $650 Bill Became A Much Bigger Problem

What started as a night out ended with a trespass order, jail booking and criminal charge, all over a bill the man repeatedly said he was capable of paying.

That is what makes the footage less about the amount itself and more about how the situation was handled.

The club’s manager wanted the dancer paid, the officers repeatedly offered the man a chance to do that, and he continued disputing the circumstances without actually settling the debt.

If he genuinely believed the club had overcharged him, that argument could have been pursued later through documentation, surveillance footage or the court system.

Instead, his refusal to resolve the immediate tab turned what might have remained a billing disagreement into an arrest.

By the end of the footage, the man was still insisting that officers and staff had misunderstood him, while police maintained that he had been given more than enough chances to pay before they finally took him to jail.
